How to Use a Synthetic Soft Shackle Properly?
-
Open the Loop: Pull the high-visibility quick-release string to loosen the main loop eye and slip it completely over the heavy diamond knot.
-
Route the Shackle: Thread the open soft shackle through your vehicle’s rated recovery point (ensure the edge is smooth and free of sharp metal burrs) and through the loop end of your tow strap or kinetic rope.
-
Secure the Eye: Pass the heavy diamond knot back through the open loop eye of the soft shackle.
-
Cinched Tight: Slide the loop eye down firmly against the base of the diamond knot. Always ensure the loop eye is fully locked behind the knot before starting the pull.
-
Inspect & Clean: After a muddy recovery, simply rinse the shackle in clean, lukewarm water to wash away grit trapped inside the sleeve. Air dry out of direct sunlight before storing.
